But this time we carefully decaffeinated them and gave them an intricate roast to keep the irresistible character. You can taste more of the toasted and pleasant bitter notes when you add milk to this Nespresso decaf capsule. Just as with the original, it makes a silky, smooth and well-balanced Latte - with sweet biscuit notes and a hint of fruity floral.
This is Vivalto Lungo’s decaffeinated counterpart - also made up of a company of pure Arabicas from South America and Africa.
We played with the blending, roasting and grind to get these decaffeinated coffees to move on the palate like the original. Ethiopian Arabica gives Vivalto Lungo Decaffeinato the delicate floral notes.
They’re contrasted by high-grown Colombian coffee that adds a subtle fruity aroma.
Other South American coffees balance out this Arabica coffee blend with their sweet cereal notes.
We roast the coffees separately - it keeps that complexity and balance at the forefront of Nespresso Vivalto Lungo Decaffeinato.
A shorter, lighter roast on the Ethiopian and Colombian coffee beans preserves their finer aromatics.
A darker and longer roast of the remaining coffee develops the pleasant bitterness and brings the rich roastiness.
